Prs. Larry Kirkpatrick and Mike Lambert discuss the theological move of denominations which approve women's ordination and their inevitable drift into approval of same-sex unions. They consider how one and only one denomination so far has turned back from this---by reestablishing a historical-grammatical interpretive plan at their seminary. Discussion turns, with some regret, to the current situation of the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary located in Berrien Springs, MI. The women's ordination-favoring theological approach of the current dean is investigated, and the core presupposition identified. All this, in just 13 minutes.

Subjects addressed: President Ted Wilson states that the Mark of the Beast is WORSHIPING ON ANY OTHER DAY than the Sabbath.  Roy Ice of Loma Linda University Church urges members to pray to the Holy Spirit, participate in spiritual formation, and contemplative prayer.  Two groups existing in the last days--first group like Joseph and Nicodemus, afraid to openly proclaim the present truth, the second, like John the Baptist, carrying forward the message of preparation with God's approval and not having church leader's authorization. Self-supporting work in relation to regular lines. Regular lines may prove a failure and snare. The need of Elijah's message. Restoration of God's image. Restoration of the home.

"The government under which Jesus lived was corrupt and oppressive; on every hand were crying abuses,--extortion, intolerance, and grinding cruelty. Yet the Savior attempted no civil reforms. He attacked no national abuses, nor condemned the national enemies. He did not interfere with the authority or administration of those in power. He who was our example kept aloof from earthly governments. Not because He was indifferent to the woes of men, but because the remedy did not lie in merely human and external measures. To be efficient, the cure must reach men individually, and must regenerate the heart." {DA 509.3} "But today in the religious world there are multitudes who, as they believe, are working for the establishment of the kingdom of Christ as an earthly and temporal dominion. They desire to make our Lord the ruler of the kingdoms of this world, the ruler in its courts and camps, its legislative halls, its palaces and market places. They expect Him to rule through legal enactments, enforced by human authority. Since Christ is not now here in person, they themselves will undertake to act in His stead, to execute the laws of His kingdom. The establishment of such a kingdom is what the Jews desired in the days of Christ. They would have received Jesus, had He been willing to establish a temporal dominion, to enforce what they regarded as the laws of God, and to make them the expositors of His will and the agents of His authority. But He said, 'My kingdom is not of this world.' John 18:36. He would not accept the earthly throne." {DA 509.2} "Christianity--how many there are who do not know what it is! It is not something put on the outside. It is a life inwrought with the life of Jesus. It means that we are wearing the robe of Christ's righteousness. In regard to the world, Christians will say, We will not dabble in politics. They will say decidedly, We are pilgrims and strangers; our citizenship is above. They will not be seen choosing company for amusement. They will say, We have ceased to be infatuated by childish things. We are strangers and pilgrims, looking for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God." {TM 131.1}

The message addressed to the church of Laodicea, those living in this final generation is applicable to every person professing the name and faith of Christ, but specifically this message pertains to Seventh-day Adventists. We can be certain that we are living in the final seconds of earth's history when Christ is about to spew unrepentant sinners out of His mouth because the abominations in Babylon have nearly reached their limit and the abominations in the various nations have just about exceeded their limits; and God's forbearance, so long exercised to mankind, will extend no longer. Just as in the days of Noah, when the state of society reached the point of utter recalcitrance to God's word and the lewd, abominable practices were almost widely accepted, promoted, and celebrated, probation closed and destruction ensued. It is clear that worldwide licentiousness--in its various forms- has become the norm, and God's word is clear that the nations will be spewed out as a result. While the nations are being spewed out, individuals who rise up against the straight testimony will also be spewed out. But in order to be preserved and ultimately saved, one needs to recognize his/her spiritual poverty and destitution and seek for the gold tried in the fire that is offered to them. This gold can only be obtained by making an exchange of our sins for Christ's righteousness. There must also be earnest effort by the pursuant and the trying of our faith which is intended to burn the dross of sin from our lives, leaving us perfect in Christ. Now is the time to receive this gold of faith while mercy still pleads for humanity!
