Why did the official website of our Seventh-day Adventist Denomination, Adventist News Network, remove the Article Indicating Movement Toward Women's Ordination Worldwide? What does our church have to hide? What is going on behind the closed doors? Was the official article a news report or just a press release? As church members do we deserve to know the truth? The Dictionary gives these meanings for the Scapegoat: "One that bears the blame for others; A person who is unfairly blamed for something that others have." How does the Bible define the Scapegoat? What is the role of the Scapegoat? What are some of the errors that surround the role of the Scapegoat? How should the correct understanding of the Scapegoat impact our spiritual lives? "The scapegoat was sent away into a land not inhabited, never to come again into the congregation of Israel. So will Satan be forever banished from the presence of God and His people, and he will be blotted from existence in the final destruction of sin and sinners." {GC 422.2} Who, then, is Azazel??Since no lot was for the Lord, and the other was for Azazel, it is plain that Azazel is a personality as really as is the Lord. And since only one lot was for the Lord,?the other being for Azazel,?it is also plain that Azazel is the opposite of the Lord. And as God is Spirit, and all this represents spiritual things, it follows that Azazel, being the opposite of the Lord, is a spirit personality, who is the opposite of the Lord.
