In this age of secularism, immortality, and gross wickedness, God is calling upon His people to teach, preach, and live the principles of present-truth that are clearly laid out in His Word, just as He used the prophet Elijah, John the Baptist, Jesus, and even the Protestant Reformers during the Dark Ages.  Unfortunately, just as in the aforementioned types, the messages of present-truth were not welcomed or tolerated, neither in the world nor in the churches.  We have come to a point in history wherein individuals are prohibited from publicly upholding God's standard of marriage and disapproving of homosexuality without facing criticism and pressure from the LGBT community and its supporters.  However, this is not the persecution that should alarm God's people; what else can be expected from the world?  But when individuals' voices within the Seventh-day Adventist Denomination are being silenced because of their presenting and standing for Biblical principles of present-truth, this should be all the more disturbing.  This denial of religious liberty in the churches calling themselves Seventh-day Adventist is a sure sign that God's people are being and will continue to be driven into the wilderness.   "We have far more to fear from within that from without.  The hindrances to strength and success are far greater from the church itself than from the world." (1SM 122.3). The very church that was once a beacon of religious liberty is now stifling the liberties of those who choose to stand for the pillars and foundation of our message, and call sin by its right name while holding those in leadership positions accountable.  But although in the wilderness, God's people will be nourished with both spiritual and literal bread and water.  Will you choose to worship God in the wilderness or remain in the popular, fashionable, nominal churches and inevitably call evil good and good evil, while ostracizing  God's servants? Choose ye this day who ye will serve!

Recent developments within Seventh-day Adventist institutions indicate that God's once peculiar people have conformed not only to the practices but also to the ideologies of the world as it relates to confronting the issue of homosexuality. The Netherlands Union Conference officially stated that a homosexual lifestyle simply falls short of God's ideal, and that's perfectly fine, because all of us do; implying that there need be no change of such a lifestyle. While at Andrews University, a conference was held between the school's faculty (including its president) and LGBTI students and supporters. The conclusion of the meeting was that individuals within the LGBTI community should not be encouraged to convert from their lifestyle, but rather should find a "safe environment" in SDA churches wherein they should be allowed to have and retain their membership; which goes against General Conference President Ted Wilson's guidelines of how to deal with members in this community. It is evident that the church is facing a crisis. The question is, how will the worldwide church deal with such issues, especially when discrimination lawsuits are brought against them. Will John 11:48-53 be repeated, wherein church leaders proposed (and later carried out) the execution of Christ? Will church leadership sacrifice the truth in order to preserve their reputation, status, and position? one only has to look at the previous track record concerning past issues and controversies to conjecture what may be the sad conclusion. Let us watch and pray and also examine ourselves that we on a personal level do not compromise one iota of truth to find favor with the world.

"Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices."- 2 Corinthians 2:11. The people of God in this final generation need to be aware of Satan's subtle attacks against the testimony of Jesus, the Spirit of Prophecy. In fact he is warring against the remnant who are holding fast to His commandments and to the testimony of Jesus (Revelation 12:17). Firstly, he incites many among Seventh-day Adventists to discard the writings of Ellen White altogether; and secondly, he influences others to claim to uphold the testimonies, but they selectively choose, in their own erring judgment, which portions they believe to be inspired from which are not, which counsels they will adhere to, and which ones that they will not. And thirdly, which is the most subtle deception; if Satan cannot persuade men to do away with the testimonies or lightly regard them, he will inspire men, namely the "Trustees of the Ellen White Estates" to tamper with, change, and falsify the original writings in order to change its meaning and intent. This has happened in some of the compilations and even in the added footnotes of some of Ellen White's writings. It is sad that these changes have been intentionally and deliberately made to substantiate error. This falsification has come as a result of the church being converted to the world on major issues such as women's ordination to pastoral duties and other leading roles within the church. It must be remembered that if Seventh-day Adventists are willing to compromise on controversial issues that are prevalent in the world, and not take a firm and decided stand, they will view matters in the same light as does the world, and thus when the Mark of the Beast is enforced, they will be prepared to take the easy and popular side. Let us take heed, and watch and pray!

God's people are facing a tremendous crisis in these final moments of earth's history; and only those who are studying God's Word and earnestly praying will be able to meet the impending crisis.  It is unfortunate that even in God's remnant church, the SDA church, the foods (literally and symbolically) from Jezebel's table are being presented and widely accepted and greedily consumed on a daily basis.  As these foods and wines are being ingested, people are led to forget God's law, pervert the judgment (Proverbs 31:4 and 5), and thus receive absolutely no dew nor rain (former or latter rain).  Why eat from Jezebel's table, the Papacy and the apostate Protestant churches? Why study and meditate upon the writings of men from the Order of Friars, a Roman Catholic society, when the Lord has a nice spread for His people?  As you partake of the Lord's table and forsake Jezebel's table, you indeed will receive the refreshing that comes from the presence of the Lord.

The involvement of Seventh-day institutions with ministers, teachers, books, and ideologies from Babylon is an ongoing trend that we need to be aware of, so that we can stay clear of these unlawful unions that tend to undermine faith in God's words; thus resulting in God withholding the dew and the rain, His holy Spirit and present-truth doctrines from His professed people. Breaking News: "Auburn Christian groups hold ecumenical Lenten services" Six churches -- St. Teresa of Avila, Auburn Presbyterian, Auburn Seventh-day Adventist, Bethlehem Lutheran, First Congregational and Pioneer United Methodist -- will conduct Lenten worship every Wednesday, starting March 5 and ending April 9. Each group will host one day and will feature a guest pastor from a different church. Pastor Dan Appel of Auburn Seventh-day Adventist said he believes that the collaboration among organizations will bring about good faith among Auburn Christians. "I think the intent was to just give the people the opportunity to get acquainted with other pastors," Appel said. "So often, people hear the same speaker over and over again. This gives people the chance to get better acquainted. There is also an attempt to show that while we may have theological differences with each other, we still respect each other as followers of God."
